Sandcastle is an oceanfront duplex located on the crystal coast in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. The neighborhood has wide, uncrowded beaches and beautiful homes on a quiet street; yet, it is only a few miles from excellent restaurants, grocery stores (Food Lion, Lowes foods), hardware stores (Ace, Walstons), shopping, movies, video rentals, and various forms of entertainment (golf, miniature golf, water parks, etc).

Inside and out, SandCastle
offers panoramic ocean views. The open deck gives you that
"right on the beach" feeling, and many prefer the comfort of
the deck over sitting out on the beach. If you like great ocean views,
Sandcastle is the place.
Each side has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths all on one level. A spacious kitchen/living/dining area faces the ocean. The dining area seats 10 (6 at the table and 4 at the kitchen island. The kitchen is well furnished and has a microwave oven & dishwasher. The deck has bench seating and four comfortable adirondack chairs.
Two bedrooms are set up with queen-sized beds. Bedroom #3 has a twin bed and a bunk bed. Bedroom #4 has a bunk bed (twin sized bunk on top, and a double sized futon on the bottom). All matresses are excellent quality and in good condition.
The unit is centrally
heated/cooled (heat pump) and has a telephone, answering machine, 3
color cable TV's, a VCR, CD player, and DVD player. The washer
& dryer are shared between the sides and located
downstairs. Sandcastle has a private stairway to the beach. A
shower is located close to the stairs to make it easy to get a quick
rinse
after a dip in the ocean. There are several Weber charcoal grills and
the 'prime' grilling spot is downstairs on the east side.
Pets are permitted with fee. There is no smoking inside the unit, but smoking on the deck is OK. Look for the large flowerpot filled with sand for your spent smoking materials. Sandcastle rents from Sunday-to-Sunday.
Generally, driving to Emerald Isle is easiest via I40 and highway 24E. You will have to go through Jacksonville, but usually there are no significant delays in doing this (details)
